I have never had an issue with the front sight tower, a 1/3 cowitness will keep the front sight in the lower bottom of the aimpoint and if you want an even lower placement of the front sight you could use the KAC night vision mount which keeps the front sight post even closer to the bottom. Since these are non maginfided optics the front sight is still visible in the aimpoint unlike the Elcan or other magnified optic

Thanks. I was thinking of the Micro mounted more or less directly on the rail - is that workable or does it need a riser to avoid having the tower block too much of the field of view?

That will not work well at all, the front fight tower will completely block the field of view
 
Hi Farmboy,

Are you guys going to be getting any IO Covers for Aimpoint Micro T-1/H-1's?
