This thread is a relic, I know.... but what was the final verdict here? I would love one over an M14, for sure. What are the odds it'll happen? I mean, the current ones are 7.62X39... 7.62X51 would not really need THAT much retooling, I wouldn't think? (I am NOT a machinist, or engineer... so I may be wrong?)
Not paying attention I assumed the 958 was going to be 7.62x51
I was excited to see this in the feed again hoping there was confirmation and now I'm disappointed. I'd love to have a vz58 in 7.62x51.

I think CSA found out the same thing that Czech army did, that action is not suitable for full power rifle ammo

With know CSA problems I think that gun would be deadly but to the shooter. My 223 was 3 times at warranty enter before it started working knock on wood
