Are the ones you have "first generation" or "second generation" SIG 516's?

What is the difference of these generations? I could not find the answer.

^^From what I can tell, the second generation has a better/easier to remove gas plug and piston assembly (more rounded plug with a button versus a threaded plug with detente release). It also apparently has a better set of iron sights (i.e. it's mostly made of metal versus plastic/polymer)

I got the 516 today--I'm pleased (relieved) to say that it's a second generation 516
. Came with a very nice accessory package, although they forgot the mags--which I know will soon be taken care of.

^^*I'll see what I can do on my next time off. So far, the Sig's accuracy (with various generic fmj ammo) is above average compared to other AR type rifles I've owned.
