Shot Show 2013 Report: Walther PPX Navy

The Walther PPX is a double action only hammer fired pistol that is positioned to be a lower cost alternative to the PPQ. The cost saving comes with a beefier slide which takes less time to machine. While it is a DAO pistol, it has a relative light DAO trigger and an extremely short trigger reset that almost feel like a striker fired pistol. The MSRP should be around $500 USD.

The PPX navy version featured a 4.6" threaded barrel ( the label in the picture is wrong). This barrel length makes it Canadian legal.

There is also a new version of PPQ with the traditional button magazine release, instead of the ambidextrous paddle release.

And the standard version in stainless steel:

We had test fired the PPX on the media day. we found it to be very easy to shoot well and we like the trigger alot.

Did you read the safety manual before shooting it?

Did you get a chance to see the PPQ M2 (Nave SD)? I noticed it is listed as having a 4.6" barrel length without having the threaded end.

It's like Glock's safe action had a baby with a single action hammer-fired gun and made this thing. Nice gun though; it felt great.
    So no de cocking lever/button?
