SHOT SHOW 2013: New Lyman Automatic Powder Dispensers

Lyman will be introducing a new line of scales and automatic powder dispensers this year. These new dispensers are supposed to address the shortcomings of their old dispenser (30 min. warm-up time) while being less expensive (i.e. priced competitively with the new Hornady dispenser).

The little one has no memory storage. MSRP is $290. The MSRP on the large one is $350.

    Those look nice!

I'm just getting into reloading. What's the difference between the two?

I didn't have the opportunity to ask that due to a large number of other people in the booth all asking questions about different things. I hope to revisit this at some point before the end of the show.

Electronic scale should be quite accurate.

I like the idea and finish. I would like to have an idea about pricing in Canada

As long as the little one has a repeat / auto-repeat function, I'm interested.

I'm sick of hand-weighing and outright avoiding stick powders

What were the shortcomings of the old dispensers?

These scales would work good for rifle loading, but it would be sweet if someone made one for a turret set up that auto measures into each pistol case. Probably would be too slow though to keep up with the turret..
