The seven blunders of the world:
Wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, worship without sacrifice, and politics without principle. - Mohandas Gandhi
I didn't find it that heavy compared to most of their competition.
The only really light ones were the Eberlestock Chassis
It was about on par with most of the aluminum chassis stocks like the AICS, JAE, etc.
I just picked mine up yesterday, ill make a build thead for my rem700 .308
Those look SWEET! .... but at 2K each that's gotta hurt a bit.
Hey CADEX.... what about dropping the price down for us poor guys?
I think the Eberlestock totally and completely kicks the ass of this, ( yeah canadian made all that w/e). It's even manages to be cheaper lol.
Its pretty and this is ugly, it looks a B movie prop or a toy. If this is heavy as well what exactly does it bring to the market that doesn't already exist in similar stocks, besides the most overinflated price.
If you compare to an XLR or AICS it is expensive. Potentially double the price.
However it has adjustments with no tools where the others don't or mostly don't. If you compare to an AICS AX you are 1500 for the folder, 140 for the action rail and 140 for the forward rail. An AICS AX is right in the ball park price wise. A cadex has LOP adj with no tools where the AICS/AX requires offsets. The AICS/AX does not fold over the bolt. Nebulous value at best but still a difference.
I have only held an AICS not owned one. I will probably get an AICS at some point if the "ban pistol grip" stock stupidity arrives here from the New York and Conneticut socialist wonderland's (cesspools) but until then I will keep my Cadex, XLR and MAK. Cadex may be double the price of everything else, but so far, I like it at least twice as much. I plan to use a couple of barreled actions in the same chassis so to me it is the same cost as two stocks.
these stocks are not expensive by comparison. furthermore there is no possible way you could have one made at any machine shop for less. price would be $1500 more at the very least. these are some very fine stocks that really cost bucks to make.
