SHOT SHOW 2013 Report: Winchester Model 1873

Winchester Repeating Arms Model 73 Short Rifle from the Historical line.
Beautifully grained walnut stock and mirror finished blued steel marred only by the oily fingerprints of the filthy drooling masses. .357 mag / .38 spc

It will function with both .357 and .38 without fuss? I thought that particular action was pretty fussy about OAL...

I would like to know the same thing, I was told the Uberti .357 would not properly cycle .38 but then I saw someone with one at the range and he was shooting .38 not problem.

ROUND 20" BARREL WITH FULL-LENGTH MAGAZINE TUBE holds 10 rounds of 357 Magnum or 11 rounds of 38 Special ammunition

Straight from the website, with no suggesting that there is anything special required to change from 1 to the other. Interesting.....

With my 73 it depends on th overall length of the cartridge. I've had days where it would not cycle 38 spls because I crimped them to much and they were to short but now it works good. They also might have adjusted the elevator to fix that issue, I think some of the light weight elevators are claimed to work better with 38's.

Beautiful rifle GT, thanks for answering my request. I don't suppose they agreed to send me one for free though eh?

Past experience at Shot indicates that stuff out of Miroku is top notch product. Sadly price is too.

I'd love one, but I'd prefer 44-40. Very surprised it's not included in the choices.
