SHOT SHOW 2013 Report: Manners MCS-TF Tactical Folding Rifle Stocks

Last year Manners introduced a new line of their tactical stocks. They have introduced a novel low profile folding version of their Composite Tactical Adjustable Cheekpiece stocks.

    Available in 4 colour patterns:

The folding mechanism is molded into the stock shell thus hiding a large portion of the mechanism when the rifle is put together leaving a small hinge portion visible on the outside.

I found the hinge to be very strong and in no way interfered with the grip or trigger pull.

It is released by a small button on the trigger side. It was pretty stiff but I am told that it eases up after some breaking in.

They also came up with a novel way of keeping the rifle in the folded position. Rather than having a lock in the hinge itself like most of the other folding stocks I have found, or putting a cam in the hinge, instead they utilize a flush cup system on the outer portion of the buttstock. You push a button on the opposing side of the buttstock and it pushes out the flush-cup fastener that is insterted into the cup on the stock just below the action. This allows the hinge to be a bit smaller and makes it less obtrusive at the rifle's neck.

Here is a brief video of the system

    The Stocks weigh between 4.5-4.8lb
MSRP for the folders is roughly 1300$ but may vary depending on options

Essentially, if you are looking for a more traditional styled composite stock like the McMillan A5 but also want a folder these provide that compromise

That is cool I would love a folding stock on my shortened 21" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 375RUM so it will slip into my Eberlistock lowdrag daypack.

OP do you know what rifles these are designed to fit?

Are there any pics with barreled actions installed?

I don't have any pics of a fitted rifle but here is one I've tracked down:

If you check out the manners website and try out the stock builder you will see that they offer a ton of customization when you make one to order.

I really like the TCS TF1 version but it looks like it will cost somewhere around $1200 - $1300 + duties/shipping/import fees/etc = a bit rich for me right now.

There was also the new T6 (second from top):

    And the new-ish T5 (middle):

The T5 is one of the most comfortable stocks I have ever held.

Any of these stocks can be inletted for chassis/bottom metal, which is made by Badger Ordnance for Manners.

I ordered two of the folding stocks from Casey at Tactical Ordnance, I happen to have been at the booth when he was talking to Mr Manners about stocking his products, Casey will be receiving his pricing information this week so look forward to his announcement, am happy now I can get Casey to build me two more guns;-)
