I'm pleased to see Savage using the rotary mag again.

Quemadmoeum gladis nemeinum occidit, occidentis telum est. -Seneca
Looks like some new guy stuck the bolt handle on sideways.
You know you are a real gunnut when you start practicing trigger control on power tools.
WWJMBD? What Would John Moses Browning Do?
Let me explain the bolt handle knob (or my theory at least).
The gun is not cocked by lifting the bolt handle as is the case with some other Savage guns but is cocked by closing (pushing down with your palm) the bolt.
The shape of the bolt knob allows one to more comfortably and forcefully apply downward pressure on the bolt.
And now you know the rest of the story...
it's not a remington, therefore 'ugly' is the insult of choice.Whats so ugly about it?
I think the bolt knob looks nasty too...clean up the action and change the bolt handle so it looks like the .17 HMR rifle and I'm in...
hopefully the rotary mag is tweaked so it looks a bit more finished like the one from Ruger, and is similarly reliable.
PRACTICE, so there'll only be a Singleshotneeded! :-)
