The new B.MAG is chambered in the new Winchester .17 Super Magnum Rimfire.

- Thread-in Barrel - headspaces like the centre fire not like the usual pinned Savage rimfire barrels.

- Accutrigger

- Rear Locking Lugs and "enhanced bolt handle"

Overall it was very light. The action looks nice, but the stock had a cheap feel and there was flash around the seams. The mag looks like a cool design, but also felt cheap - definitely not 10/22. Hopefully they will be expanding the product line to include some of the nice laminate stocks and varmint barrels in .17 Super Magnum Rimfire.

Looks very interesting. Nice sleek new design. Rotary bolt. Very promising.

The big question is what it will be like once the consumer versions hit the market. With a little luck they will be well made an accurate. And hopefully the rotary mag proves as reliable as a Ruger.

The bolt knob is rather outlandish, but in practice it may be comfy enough, we shall see.

The bolt knob is the same idea as the Armalite chassis gun. It's designed to be narrower and allow you to sweep your hand palm up and then back.

It's not for everyone. I tried it out and it wasn't that bad.

I couldn't find anyone to give the pricing, but my guess is it will be in line with the rest of the rimfire.

I'm looking forward to a nice laminate stock version. I'm looking to get one for a range report as well.

Savage seems to be competitively seeking to dominate the ugly gun market. Mossberg unseated them with the picatinny lever gun but Savage looks to have some fight left, Ruger and Remington are entering the fray to now.
