The Tactical SS 5.0 also has a more "tactical" model with extended threaded barrel, it is the Tactical 5.0.

The Duty model has some very interesting checkering pattern. Too bad the commander is 4.0 out of the factory but I am sure Freedom Venture can do something about it.

While Electra is not new,the color exploration is! We think it is kinda 70's and somehow it has its unique appealing. It is done quite well and not cheesy like some other attempts we have seen else where in the show.

STI's website says the Duty 1 comes in 5.01 and 4.26 length barrels. I assume by Commander you're referring to the 4.26 barrel?

Its interesting that the Duty 4.0 in 1911, single stack ($1330.00) is a bushing barrel while the Duty 4.0 in 2011, wide-body ($2045.00) uses a bull barrel. I'd be interested to try the 2011 4.0, but for my money, unless you just gotta have that rail and the grip checkering, if you want a 1911, I'd stick with the Ranger II with the bull barrel ($1135.00). I love my Ranger II in 9mm.
