Well, Mr Fool...let me explain.
I installed the stock and, as stated, it would not allow the bolt to move back far enough to engage the catch.
It required another 1/16" (approx). I considered cutting the rubber buffer end then realized its exactly the thickness of the plate.
Installation of a non-milspec plate resulted in proper engagement but the stock will not function due to the sling mount interference.
I ordered a "stock NEA milspec plate" and hit the road for work.
That is why it gathered dust for the past month and i have not contacted Ryan.
I did not realize i even had a problem untill this moment.
But it would have been nice to know that others have had this issue and have had to modify the piece to make it work, rather than "you probably installed it incorrectly". Furthermore....i love buying stuff from Ryan and SFRC....but communication has never been their forte. Ill try reading this new thread and contacting actual owners first.
Sorry to be "dickish" but looking at this thing is actually giving me a big boner and not being able to use it...
Well...we all know how that feels.
Peace
