I'm probably at least a year away from having the coin, but how much for a built:

    - antique status
    - Colt SAA
    - smokeless frame
    - new cylinder
    - new barrel (4.00" or shorter)
    - in .44Special

Plain Jane matte blueing or even (gasp) a subdued powdercoating (black or gunmetal grey)? A little pitting in the frame is no problem, and modern grips would be just fine - actually, better than originals.

Reliability and ability to shoot a hot .44Special round would be my preference. Minute-of-Grizzly accuracy required. A good trigger would be nice.

For me, this is the holy grail - are we talking unobtanium here, or is there a price where you'd be willing to put something like that together?
