    After I picked up my sig 1911-22 I found out that they r made by gsg and I could have saved myself $150 by getting a gsg.
    But at least I got a tan one and I consoled myself by saying I spent the extra $150 for a unique color....... Now I just plain got screwed, haha!
    Things either are what they appear to be;
    or they neither are, nor appear to be;
    or they are, and do not appear to be;
    or they are not, and yet appear to be.

    LOL

    I was grabbing my wallet and getting ready to order when I googled "gsg 1911" and found out they're only in .22 Would have been good info to add into the original post. Now I'm all depressed and it's Blue Line's fault!

    Did you get a good stock of these in? Love the tan but won't have my RPAL for a couple months so hoping there will still be some around!

    These will be a continually stocked item and will be available through dealers across Canada in regular supply.

    I was never happy with the finish & have a freind that does annodizing . So I stripped the slide completely & had him strip the finish off & polish it ,then clear annodize the slide . I love it ! Just need to get alluminum hadles for it to complete the look .

    Two years ago I saw a GSG1911 .22 in a gun shop, and I was so amazing with it's quality, feeling and balance, but I just bought a ruger at that time. I have been so eager to buy a GSG 1911, until I saw some threads like this one…

    http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.ht...f=356&t=207958
    http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?p=3272473

    and a lot more.. if you google 'GSG 1911 broken guide rod'

    I am still worry about it, and from one of the thread it looks like the issues are more with serial number starting with 'B'.
    I am not sure about the one in the pic, the serial number looks like 'A513***'.

    Anyone has any experience recently 2 years? Please shed a light for me.

    A friend both his GSG 1911 in January and a cousin in May. Both Steel Guide Rod. The only thing to worry now is the finish.
