Hey Pat, just wondering how well these finishes will hold up compared to the black one I use to have (which was not the greatest)????

The beavertail grip safety is very thin at the top end, and it can be easily bent during shipping or can be even happened to an entire crate. At least you'd better to ask them to check before shipping. The finish on the slide seems to be fragile, shall wear off quickly. just my $.02

But $409 each...it is a complete gun at a price for .22 conver kits.

    Hi guys,

The OD and Tan finishes do appear to be a bit more durable, when compared to the Black models, at least from what I can tell handling them here in the store. They are a fairly thin coat, however, and that just seems to be how the GSG factory is manufacturing the GSG and Sig 1911 22s. I understand that the factory has improved their formula / process over earlier GSGs.

Sadly, I can't say how well these will stand up over time without actually seeing it for myself. Hope that helps.
