    Body Armour....

    i know you guys get great deals on some good body armour. Is there any chance you guys can get some NIJ4 stand alone plates in?

    Yep I have been on the fence about getting the 3 cause the 4 has so much more to offer. Although if your company does get them in I'l be down for a set for sure too.

    does anyone have a list of provinces where armour is regulated or you need a permit, if a permit is required is it difficult to get one

    NIJ 3A or higher body armour, or plates are a controlled product, in order to purchase these goods you must register with DFAIT. An import permit is required to import these into Canada. This is Federal, not Provincial.

    I'm not sure about Alberta but in ON it is still legal to buy plates, I purchased a pair of lvl 4 just the other month. ( no MIL or LEO ). now i have heard that in some prov they are controled for only MIL and LEO like NS. I'd say buy Canadian and avoid the border/ importation hassels. and get yours while you can. If it isn't controled in your prov yet it will be soon.

    Guess I must have lucked out when I ordered with Zahal a few years ago.
