So I feel a little silly for asking this question but if a guy was to build an AR off this BL15 lower would it be considered restricted? What makes an AR style of rifle restricted or non restricted? It's been years since I sold my Colt AR and I have missed it ever since. This offer from Blue Line has piqued my interest.

Restricted by name so the AR15 or ANY of its variants are restricted.

It's that simple eh. Take AR out of the name and it's no longer restricted...Ridiculous isn't it? Thanks for the clarification.

To clarify, the design is restricted by name… changing the name makes no difference.
