How do you know if yours is made in 2008? On my box cartoon says "inspected February 2013?

bottom of the sight has the sticker saying manufactured date was 2008....387397.

I got my Eotech EXPS yesterday and it looks awesome and rigid!

This is my first time having a fancy HWS and my first red dot was Strikefire Vortex. I have a couple of questions to all of HWS/red dot nuts out here:

-When I move my head around while looking at the recticle, the recticle moves around too?!? Why is that?

it is parallex free..whereever you look thru ithits. I just got off the phone..they offered some repair options, and are sending EOtech an email about it. ALso,...LOL..I ordered the XPS2-02.. big circle, 2 little dots...LOL. At least I will have to only carry one battery (the cr123) for my lights and optic. My malfunction eotech was a 551 with NV,

Also.......when I look at the recticle while pointing the Eotech down (while I am sitting down) there are times where the recticle disappear, and then after I move my head around, it reappears?!? How come?!

well, you have to realize the image is projected onto the screen....and if you lose that plane, you will not be able to see the projection.

It is a very fast sight iMHO....I prefer the big circle for just about everything under 75 yards...than use the dot for distance and precision.
