Approx 3500 rds through one in approx three years. No issues what so ever. The only complaint I can even remotely muster is that it had some sharp edges when we got it.
I don't like the rail myself.

Doesn't matter, anymore. We're only good for filling sandbags for floods and saving people during winter storms. Other-wise we're kicking posts and crazies who are over worked, over taxed, underpaid and never truly appreciated.
I'm the second owner of mine, I have 1500rds true mine, it's reliable and so far have not had a problem with it.... would recommend any Norinco product.
Enjoy them for what they are.

Can John answer as to when they will be getting fresh stock?
My dad wants to buy one, and locally they are somewhat more expensive (and he's a cheap bugger)
Does anyone know if you can replace the recoil spring from the norinco NP-22 with a recoil spring from the Sig Sauer P226? and if so is there any other parts that are inter changeable?
spring guid and recoil spring and main spring. that is what I did.
One of the best buys in handguns, period
I have a NP22 (Sig 226) and the NP34 (Sig 228) and love them both. I've bought and sold a dozen handguns in the last year and those are the only two I haven't. And won't.
Mine runs perfect, (as does my Norc 1911 and NZ85b) 3 guns for the price of 1, even have an NS522 .22 rifle and its a tack driver!
I changed the grips on mine and have been shooting it since new for the last number of years with absolutely zero issues. My only fault with the gun is the rough double action trigger pull. That's a pretty minor complaint based on the gun being a da/sa.
Gun control defined: The theory that people who are willing to ignore laws against rape, kidnapping, theft, and murder will obey a law which prohibits them from owning a firearm.
