Eagerly awaiting it. Should go good with the Beowulf mags whenever those come in.

I check up on this rifle probably once a week. Not a lot of new info out there right now. No reviews yet or anything. Are they available down south yet?

    Hi guys,

If you missed it, there is a short video on youtube showing Masterpiece Arms staff testing a couple of production models.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgmVEZTVbPw

Masterpiece Arms also talked about the MPAR in their quarterly newsletter in March

    https://masterpiecearms.com/pdf/MPA-...ter-3-2013.pdf

So far, I have seen nothing from Masterpiece Arms or any reviewers on the rifle itself beyond what we already knew from the coverage at ShotShow.

They were supposed to start delivery to US customers in April, but I have a feeling that that hasn't happened or we would have heard some reviews by now.

Mal: Jayne, how many weapons you plan on bringing? You only got the two arms.
Jayne: I just get excitable as to choice - like to have my options open.

Thanks for the video and info, I didn't realize they had a test firing video of it whatsoever.

I hope they offer different colors other than just black... I kinda like the look of a two tone like in the video (even though its just probably anodized yet...). Also the ability to use different non-collapsible adjustable stocks would be a nice option!

We are concentrating on the classification part of the process first. Once that has been completed there will be several different colour options as well as stock options available.

    Best regards,
    Ryan

    Hi guys,

Masterpiece Arms has posted a new "quarterly" update (their last one was 6 months ago!).

    https://masterpiecearms.com/pdf/MPA-...ter-9-2013.pdf

In it they talk about the MPAR:

    MPAR556
MPA has finally started shipping the MPAR556 Sporting Rifles. It has taken us quite a few months to finalize all of the details of the firearm as well as perfecting the manufacturing processes.

With regard to the manufacturing, did you know that MPA produces the majority of the components for this weapon “in house”? Contrary to the practice used by many firearms manufacturers, MPA is one of the more mature manufacturers in the business. We have over 44 CNC machines within our facility, perform heat treat, welding, phosphate and black oxide coating, make our own barrels and well as producing bolts, carriers, triggers, hammers, sears, firing pins as well as all other machined components. Its quite a task, but we would rather control the quality within our facility than depend on an outside supplier.

The MPAR300 will be shipping soon as well as a pistol version of the MPAR, hydrographic versions and other extensions of this unique firearm.
I haven't been able to find out much about the MPAR300 except that it will be chambered in .300 AAC Blackout.
