    Some needs to determine if...

    A) Pistols are elligable for import

    B) They aren't already in Canada as short barrelled rifles (ie 7.5 and 11.75 carbines)

Here is the back end of a pistol, and the only feature that is different than a rifle. Maybe some people can step up, modify their existing SBR and get them re-verified as pistols.

I don't believe you want to go at it that way.
The articulation of it being a pistol will be tied into it being registered/manufactured as a pistol, along with supporting papers, from the manufacturer. In this case CSA.

Thanks for the update. It can be hard to navigate through all our crazy laws. Hope to see some VZ pistols soon. for now I guess you have to get the AR-10 magwell adapter and XCR-AR10 10 round mags for the cz 858

Trust me. We've been over this.

When there are Vz58 pistols in Canada with an FRT number we would love to sell Vz58 pistol magazines to anyone and everyone. Until then it's a no-go.

2 seconds while we dig up the law . . .

I was not aware of this so what do I do if my order shows as shipped?

Check your emails. There should be an update from us asking if you'd like to refund your order or change it to some other product.

If there's nothing in your inbox: send up a PM with your order number and we'll get things worked out!

"Important Note: Cannot be used with the following single stack magazine rifles: vz.58 Sporter and vz.58 California Sporter SS."

Even if they were legal it sounds like they wouldn't work with the 858.

There are no vz58s in Canada classified as pistols.

    pretty darn close....

i see lots of super short ones out there....

may as well classify them as a pistol no?

or at least one of them
Please ban this account. I've been using it so long, with so many posts and information divulged, I suspect most anyone can tell who I am now. Do I still have my "reasonable expectation of privacy" with this account? Time to move on.

Unfortunately "pretty darn close" isn't enough.

They aren't pistols because they have a stock. See the picture I posted of a pistol version. The LAR15, while having a padded buffer tube, does not have a stock, hence why the receiver is classified as pistol.

Someone should see if a pistol version could be imported, thus allowing the pistol mags to be imported.

Or alter a vz shorty into a pistol, have it reclassified / verified and thus have a new FRT issued. Bingo, commonly available as anyone could do the transitional transfer from rifle to pistol. Would mean the gun could never go back to non-restricted, but the mags would become available.
