Great work and I can't wait to see what the end result is. I am with others in hopes of seeing a reduced rail height.

Amen! Glad to have one of our vendors get right on this one and improve on what is already a neat little rifle!

Well this stuff has swayed me into getting a T97. Thanks for the innovations and hope to see more of it come down the pipe.

Finally pulled the trigger on one. The push was probably this thread. If only that ugly rounded front hand guard could make way for a vertical grip now....

This is a great first move on M14.ca's part for modernizing the T97. I do feel this is a necessary, somewhat "baby" step towards the future of this rifle.

Yes, a first step. We have a lot of cross platform experience here that will lend itself well to the final production model.

I mean, the Tavor is a great platform to be available here in Canada... but its price keeps it widespread adoption from happening. The T97 on the other hand can totally fill this void and wiht enough aftermarket support, i can see it becoming the next "M305" (aka, a chinese copy of an expensive rifle that makes everyone happy).

Just like there are parts and custom stocks for the M305, SKS, Ruger 10/22 and other popular rifles up here in Canada, i get the feeling this rifle will be getting this treatment as well and M14.ca may just be the gang up for the job

Now, about a full body aluminium stock replacement with AR style grip... how long until this idea starts growing in your head?

No comment at this time but the design variations are always welcome.

As in... well i cooked up something in photoshop for the hell of it
