Needs an HK G36 style flappy charging handle to go with it.

A charging handle is being developed now. I expect to complete this part within 1 week. You will be able install it right or left side.

    Remember remember early December
    Coalition, treason and plot.
I see no reason why coalition, treason
    Should ever be forgot...

+1 on making holes. I would go with two or three rows of smaller holes like a heat shield.
Possibly top and bottom rows one size, and center holes smaller?
I find it a bit monolithic as is.
    Nice effort!

Noted. This is a cut away image of the M14.ca LSP or Long Sight Plane hand guard optics mount in revision 3 as mounted on a non-anodized, "shop sample" Blackfeather "RS". This is an unannounced M14 part in process. I expect lightening cuts on the T97NSR FTU to begin next week. Ultimately, we may transfer parts of this design to the FTU however I cannot accurately predict the outcome at this writing.

The opening is either too small to get your fingers into, or too big and the rail too high if a side charging handle is in the works.

The rail opening is 1" at this location. It is just high enough to get your hand into and just high enough to use the original charging handle. This offers the simplest and most troublefree installation for the end user however I will take this comment under advisement at our next meeting.

Much better than stock, not as good as it could be.

I think the rail would be better if it was continued all the way to the back. Just my thought after looking at it.

At this writing, we are focused on the simplest and most efficient and cost effective military-grade, precise optics mount.

I did still didn't see a est of price.

Price can only be determined once the final part is complete and material cost and machine time per part can be calculated. This is only a Stage 1 part as you are seeing it. We won't see a price until after range testing near the end of October.

Well, now interesting. I chose to pass on the T97/xzy, based on ergonomics and sight options, and I'm liking this.I think that cut outs will help with weight and it looks like modular rails will be supported. What are the other mods alluded to on your site (other than the charging handle mentioned). After all these mods, I can see the 1k rifle becoming a 2k rifle (based on m14.ca mod parts). Still, I like where this is going.

I cannot offer you the complete list on the public forum due to the very unique nature of some of the parts. We have a total of 11 modifications that will go to production end of year beginning of 2014.
