    Drum mag for Re 597

    Hi,

Any chance to get a drum mag for Remington 597 or good stick mags?

    Thank you

I as well have been looking for better mags, just did some searching. Lots of goodies for the 10/22's, not so much for the 597's. pro mag makes a 22rd stick mag for the 597, $16.00 American.

I will ask but I do not believe there are any plans for Remington magazines at this time.

    Cheers,

My 30 rd banana actually works fairly well. I don't think it has any more issues than the 10 rd stock mag. I did have a LOT of problems with the rifle originally, it seems to be much better now I stopped cleaning it....

Would love steel lipped mags and drums!

There is large demand for steel lipped+servicable drums and 30rnd mags both here and especially in the US.
Would be a very profitable venture in the end.

if they were comparable price to the drums for 10/22's then i would be down for a couple of them.

If the drums cost as much as the gun then its a no-go.

    Hey all,

I bought a 597 yesterday with grey poly stock and factory scope $219.99. Also got 2 X 30 round Remington black not clear magazines. I just got back from the range, shot 300 rounds of Win Dynapro (super cheap from Wal-Mart, my Sig Mos won't even shoot them) had 3 miss feeds and one fail to fire. I attribute this to the crappy ammo. Got 1,500 rounds of Mini Mag coming on Wednesday, problem solved. Great little shooter, I'm happy I bought it and, better still it is $182.00 cheaper than the Ruger 10/22 and almost $220.00 cheaper than the Ruger 10/22 Breakdown.
