can you blame the guy ! if people were to take runs at me (like what was happening on the forum), i woulda yanked them off the market long ago... what has happened is " legit " buyers are now squeezed out over the gripes of a few .. abit put off here as i was just about set on one of those snipers

sometimes People should just calm down a little ... !

I did want to buy SVT with the sniper notch.... instead of telling us that it had it, it was sold in bulk overseas...

Well like he said they have an automated system that is 24/7 right .
These so called snipers were available to order on there web site all weekend right.
I'm sure one of the guys whining about those of us that wanted confirmation before we order MUST HAVE ordered one while they were listed right ?
Guess we will see them posting pic's of their new Marstar SVT sniper as soon as they get it right .
Pre-orders are horrible for everyone involved. They never go smooth. We will not be doing a pre-order to bankroll this project.

Wow, quite an exciting thread. I sorta feel like my post will get no attention without bold font...
I like Marstar, and got some nifty stuff from them. I think I'll buy some more stuff, even if it doesn't come with a notch. Can I get a notch put on a Lee Enfield? It didn't come with one, and after all this talk, I feel left out... I'll put one on when I get home...

My first ever gun purchase was with Marstar.... both restricted and non-restricted. So, I'm not an enemy.

No we are not open on week ends, you are right.... However we do have an automated system which posts all order placed by our customers 24/7, I suppose you already know this

I noticed but I am not wealthy enough to tie up $500 for a month or two while rifles get shipped back & forth at my expense after getting an svt with the appropriate prefix but no notch.

"great experience & knowledge in the business end of the process & very little in the minutiae of the firearms themselves"

How the hell do you think we got to what were, by not knowing anything ?

On the practical knowledge side my friend I will defend myself at whatever level you wish.... I am qualified as an expert witness in Canada up the Supreme Court of Canada.... I am qualified in several States in the US as an expert witness.... I have prepared and assisted in numerous technical briefs for many levels of various governments.... I have prepared briefs in several major crime cases, both here and in the US....

I am not disputing your qualifications in the least. That being said, you did claim that a German proof house marking on a 91/30 sniper was an indication that it had been re-arsenaled in Austria & that a vopo refurb g43 was in "absolutely original condition". Nobody knows everything & even the most earnest claim needs to be verified.

Strange that you say we are not "milsurp enthusiasts. " why then were we chosen by the Yugoslav Government in 1984 as the exclusive exporter of all military surplus from that country, why did Nato and the UN mandate Marstar to clean the front lines after the cease fire in the first Bosnean war ?? Must be because of our lack of knowledge....

Well since you asked... I would guess in the first part that Marstar had the connections & placed the higher bid & in the second Marstar had an established relationship with the people involved, the ability to move a fair amount product out of a volatile region with a minimum of fuss & the liquid capital. I don't see why Nato or the UN would feel a knowledge of milsurps would be an asset. You don't have to have an intimate knowledge of a product to be successful at buying & selling. I will say that Marstar's knowledge of the Yugoslav firearms is beyond reproach.

I really find it strange that out of blue you have determined all these issues and claim to have all the knowledge we don't have.... At the moment we are working on several foreign deals, perhaps you would consider doing some work for us, surely you complete and varied knowledge will serve you well....
I look forward to receiving your resume

I am no expert but I know some stuff, up to & including using Google. Do you really think you could use a 42 yr old asthmatic mechanic with bad knees?
    John

I think Marstar has nice stuff at decent prices & a warranty you can't beat but when it come to comments like "All original matching serial numbers" & "Original sniper" ( form any dealer not just Marstar), I need pics before I expend my very limited resources. These will be my last comments on this matter.

I have to admit that I do go by the rule that there are no such things as stupid questions.
However when factoring the timing of this question, I believe it has out lived its usefulness.
