well after seeing the guys who have nothing till a few hundred rounds, maybe mine will become apparent? I have only shot about 60-80 rounds through it.
We've been sold out for over a week now, so I don't think the retailers had a chance to find out until this week. It's the kind of thing that's unfortunate to see, but also nice that it will be dealt with, and more importantly it's not the kind of mistake that's likely to be repeated twice.
So just out of curiosity....for those that say that there was only a gouge after shooting X rounds. How does shooting create a over drilled gas port? If it's there it's there.
kmon, who cares. this is not even an issue. I cant believe this got so big.
Not even an issue? Take a chrome metal bumper on a car, chip off a spot with a screwdriver and go back in two months and look at that spot, go back in two years look at that spot and see what happens. Corrosion… Like cancer, spreading corrosion. The rust spreads, chip gets larger and the chrome peels off the bumper. Just say'n, it is an issue.
Yes, because everyone runs saltwater through their barrels and leaves them uncleaned for days to weeks. Also nobody leaves any amount of oil in their barrel and the P in CLP stands for pitted barrel.
I appreciate North Sylva going to the effort to rectify and understanably disappointing defect, but seriously, some people are making a much bigger deal of this than it actually is .
