    range info

Saw on the sk forum that you talk about the range in duck lake. Do you have a contact number for them or any info?
    Thanks

    Hey all!

Extremely new to the scene. I'm looking for some guidance into getting my RPAL in Saskatoon. I got my normal PAL (back when it was called an FAC..) many years ago when I was 11ish, but now I'm looking into getting into the target shooting scene.

Any help or guidance would be welcomed as to where I can start on the long process to reaching this goal!

    Cheers!

    Hi Kuolema,

for myself, I just challenged the RPAL course.

Read/memorize the manual (especially the A.C.T.S./P.R.O.V.E.)
Book a date for your test at the SWF- write the test
    - do the practical part of the test

Here's the non-restricted and restricted manuals that you can download:
    h ttp://www.fseso.org/index_files/Page322.htm

The test if straight forward and common sense. The practical part should have you going through the ACTS of a handgun. For my practical I didn't have to actually shoot the handguns, just show that you can operate it safely (I had never touched a handgun prior to this). I had to do it with a revolver and a pistol.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have anymore questions.

Hi, I'm in the Saskatoon area and I'm looking for a outdoor place to go shooting without buying a range membership. Anyone know of a place I can go shooting?

What is the law, if anyone knows, about shooting on crown land?? If you can hunt on it why can't you target shoot on it??

    Hi there,

I'm new to this and just got my RPAL in the mail last week, yay! I guess I have to decide which gun I'm buying now. If anyone in the Saskatoon area would be willing to help out a new guy, I'd really appreciate that. I've never handled a pistol before, and am almost decided on a M1911, but I'd really like to shoot one before buying.

If you're interested in showing me around some, please PM me to arrange something. Thanks ahead of time! :D
