Ok, I am going to resurrect this thread .... are there any more coming?
1944 - 18 year old men stormed the beaches of Normandy into almost certain death.
2021 - 18 year old boys need a safe space because words hurt their feelings.
2022 - 18 year old boys aren't sure what bathroom to use.
Ditto. I'd love one of these.
One thing to be aware of about the CZ557 Range rifle is that the weight is shown as being 3.3 kgs on the CZ web site, however the actual weight is nearer to 3.6 kgs, since I weighed mine and it is 7.9 lbs with the four round mag and 8 lbs with the ten round mag. To add confusion the CZ site lists both the CZ557 Carbine and CZ557 Predator also as 3.3 kgs, however I believe this may be correct since these rifles have a synthetic stock and also use a different action length since they are available in 308 and 3006, also the overall length of the rifle is longer than the CZ557 range rifle even though they have the same length barrel.
That looks like a fine rifle.
If anyone ends up buying a CZ557 Range rifle I would suggest that they get the four round magazine in addition to the ten round with which it comes, since the rifle carries a lot better with the four round magazine which fits flush with the stock. If you keep the weaver rail on it it is best to use low rings when mounting a scope. I have a Trijicon AccuPower 3-9x40mm scope mounted with low Vortex Viper rings and the combined weight of the rifle and scope is 9.2 lbs.
