The sr-15 one shot brought in had a birdcage instead of the flash hider it was pictured with, the point is that there are about 80 pages between the 3 or so threads, with alot of talk and no data. So I think asking about what furniture it will wear as well as finished specs are relevant.
And enough about Future price, if it went up that's because of demand

Any word from M+M at all Wanstalls? Late December still the timeline on the pre-order?

...and any info on regular pricing?
why would anyone buy from a canadian distributor if there is a huge NR tax/BS tax when there is "gray market" importing companies that can buy direct for way less including their import fees? M+M may be decent gunsmiths but they clearly can't do basic math and have no idea how to run an honest business.

Because the US version is a 16.5 inch barrel so you would be importing a restricted firearm. Then you would need to find a compatible 18.6 inch barrel which will cost you another $500 and we don't know how they are mounted so you may need a gunsmith to install it for you adding even more to the price of your grey market rifle that may become difficult to have any warranty work done on here since the importer will know that it was brought in around them.
You'd be better off to buy two rifles then, if you put a short barrel on your non restricted rifle you have to register it as restricted before you can shoot it and then have them remove it from the registry before you can take it away from the range again. Even with the NR length barrel back on the rifle is still restricted until it is removed from the registry which means calling in and waiting 3 months for them to actually do their job.
