Any news on the Marlin side? I seen they have the 1894 Dark and a 1895 410. But I can't seem to find much on it.
If the model 7 was (blued metal, wood stock, ~18" barrel BDL magazine/flip open floor plate with the classic lines like they made them during the Walker trigger era) in 250-3000 I would have coughed up a lung in surprise and been after two of them. Those old models are very aesthetic and accurate... just very limited chamber options.
I'm glad to see that 300S (Charles Newton) 100th anniversary. Remington missed the 250-3000 100th anniversary by five years unfortunately... even more underappreciated caliber.

The Model 700 in the classic 300 Savage is a beaut. I will have to keep my eyes open for that one.

I wonder if there's any way to get that optic a bit higher off the action???
On Oct 26/20 I laid my hands onto one of the Rem 700 PCR short rifles in 308 Win mounted a Leupold Ultralight compact 3-9x33 long range reticle scope.
Over the next 2 weeks I shot what could possibly be the first two blacktail deer ever shot with this combo in Canada.
This is a really cool little set up OAL with stock at its shortest is 29" and 33 3/8" at its longest.
