There is a far out theory that, along with using this C-21 amendment to bail them out of the compensation for confiscation trap the Liberals set for themselves, the reason for this sneaky ban is because its real purpose is to set up a wedge for a spring election. The idea being that the Liberals will pull the plug on themselves and use the 'assault rifle ban' against the Conservatives. Even a single word against the ban will be blown up by the Liberals and their media into "SEE...SEEE...THOSE CONSERVATIVE WANT ASSAULT RIFLES BACK ON THE STRE-EET!!!" OH, plus immediately the gun ban diverts away from the growing story about Chinese meddling in the last elections. Trudeau won't answer a single question and is dropping odd wording that sure sounds like he's been up to no good again.

I am starting to think this is the case as well. Spring election call and this amendment was put forward to setup a major wedge issue for the news to run 24/7. Poilievre is gaining traction and Liberals will want to try and get in front of that wave and before any recession hits. If they wait too long and the house of cards called our money system falls down around them then they lose an election held at a later date.

I do, I think they see the writing on the wall that they are pissing off NDP. Also, I truly believe that the Turd is so narcissistic that he will create wedge issues like this one and believe he will come out with a majority government.
