I see 10/22 25 rounders being used at ranges all the time. Rivet must have fallen out. No one seems to care or say anything so I don't either.

a lot of guys just don't know about butler creek mags or ruger bx 25 mags being prohibited by the pony boys

If you are in possession of a 22 Long Rifle calibre magazine for 10/22 platform firearms that is not permanently altered, or "pinned" to meet the maximum capacity of a cartridge magazine, as set out in the Regulations, you may be in possession of a prohibited device.

This does not say "are" in possession...

The fact they use the word "may" means they aren't sure either.

It is not law. It is the OPINION of the firearms lab that the butler creek mags and others are prohibited due to being "dual use". The bx25 mags are marketed as being designed for both pistols and rifles so fair enough 10 rounds it is.

I appreciate the explanation but I'm much more comfortable in my bubble of ignorance.

My 10/22 self identifies as a mag-fed flint lock rife and does not appreciate your semi-auto pronoun micro aggressions. Capacity laws do not apply to it.
