Oh gawd :-(
What a clusterphuck.
I'll have to go look it up, I read it a few months back - I think on the Sig forum.
The trigger replacement is one part of the fix, a modification to a drop safety in the slide is the other part. I don't think it's visible so probably wouldn't need to be refinished.
Perhaps MD can confirm?
Here is the Sig link explaining exactly what is upgraded
https://www.sigsauer.com/support/p32...ntary-upgrade/
The video is very good and worth watching.
There is some speculation that they were able to come up with a fix so quickly because the fixes were incorporated into the MHS M-17, which if true will make an upgraded P320 even closer to the issued M-17

Got this in the email yesterday....
Dear Randy,
We are sending you this email because we have received your online submission for the P320 Voluntary Upgrade Program as a member of Canadian Law Enforcement, Canadian Military, or Canadian Consumer.
Due to the unique international logistics and licensing required, SIG SAUER is working on a plan to facilitate the P320 upgrade for our valued Canadian customers. More information will be provided in the coming weeks.
We appreciate your patience while we work through this process.
Thank you!
SIG SAUER
In the video of the link I posted, it says they need to mill out a notch for a disconnector in the slide and they probably would not reblue the slide.
To me, The upgrade is in theory a significant upgrade (time will tell) and I don't mind it being milled out in a non visible part of the slide.
We'll see how it all goes though
