It's budget, because it's from China or just the price is cheaper than those US made? If the price is doubled, you start caring?
Thanks fr the link, these guys appear to be pretty legit....

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say there but let me reiterate:

If its level 4, its level 4. The purity of the alumina is irrelevant as long as testing is done to ensure the validity of the certifications.

Name : Bulletproof alumina ceramic plate
    Material:A120+PE
Color: black; other colors can be customized
    weight:NIJIII (2.4KG), NIJIV (2.7KG)
    size:250*300mm
    Protection level:NIJIII, NIJIV
    Warranty period: 8 years
Insurance: Ping An Insurance 3 million

    product manual:
Alumina ceramics have the highest density, but the hardness is relatively low, the processing threshold is lower, and the price is relatively cheap. According to the purity, it can be divided into 85/90/95/99 alumina ceramics. The higher the label, the higher the purity, the higher the hardness and the price.
Once again we will inquire as to the purity for you. Once we hear back we will let you know.

Sadly we just heard back that they do not manufacture steel side plates. Would you be interested in another type of side plate.

We should be testing our sample plates in about two weeks. We will post the link to the video here once its ready. Also if the plates do sell well initially based on our testing we will endeavor to send the level IV plates for official NIJ testing in the US.

We have heard back from the manufacturer, and they do not have the testing report for the level IV plates from an NIJ certified lab. We will be conducting our own testing, and will let you know if they hold up.

When I googling the manufacturer, I found this review link, I think it's Level IV plate. Seems quite impressive.

I am trying to see which grade of plate AI Tactical Solutions is getting, which I believe would affect the hardness, possibility little bit on weight and price. Cause from the manufacturer's website, it seems the price and hardness would be noticeable for 85 and 99 purity.
