Importing 12(6)?

Hey guys, question here about importing 12 (6) handguns...

Will you guys import a 12(6) handgun from the states and have it shipped to a gunsmith to be rebarreled to restricted?

If so, can the original barrel be shipped separately on the obvious understanding it will never be installed? From what I understand the barrel itself would not be prohibited as long as it never went in the (rebarreled) gun... Still would be nice from a historical standpoint (if an older gun like a ppk/1903) to have the original barrel, despite never being able to use it.

Get it rebarreled in the US and import it as a restricted. The original barrel is prohibited and you cannot own it without the appropriate prohib license.

No 12.X prohibited firearms are allowed to be imported. That's all part of the confiscation by attrition agenda.

Are you sure the original barrel is prohibited? Please provide link to where it is listed as a prohibited device... I was under the impression that even a non-PAL holding Canadian citizen can own any handgun barrel (or other non registered part) they want?

Most barrels ARE just pieces of metal that anyone can own, the one exception is handgun barrels below legal length.

I've always wondered about rifle barrels of that length though... Would a 4" rifle barrel somehow be legal because that specifically states handgun barrel?...
