    Just looking for clarification on the finish. Post mentions blue, website states black oxide.

    I am impressed you were able to read that far. Too bad you did not notice that the link to the website says it is a black oxide finish. That is the reason I was asking for clarification.

    Black oxide is a type of bluing. Not sure if that helps you or not.

    billardd81 is correcto-mundo, 'Bluing' as it is called in the gun world is what the rest of industry refers to as hot black oxide. It essentially oxidizes the top layer of carbon steel to for a protective 'crust' over the metal that helps prevent further oxidation. Parkerizing is a totally different process.
