at a previous point in this thread, there was some talk about making different versions of the upper for charging and ejecting on different sides, once production is relatively stable would you consider, since the release of the WK-180c Gen 2, making an upper that employs a non-reciprocating handle compatible with, or else similar to that used in the WK-180c Gen 2?

IIRC they already explained they won’t entertain the non-reciprocating route
Prices including shipping DOES NOT include full insurance. Once package is in carrier's hands, it is not my responsibility anymore.

I've been patiently waiting, SPECTRE BALLISTICS: if you had an update I'm sure there are several of us that would greatly appreciate the news.

We are working on uppers. We have a lot of catch up to do after we were cleared out of months of inventory before the 18th.

Alright, I think it's time for an update.....

We finished the latest run of uppers and they are sitting in our shop for a few weeks now, however we're not happy with them. The finish is good and they look nice but they have 2 problems.

    1) The take down lug - For this run we made the take down lug slightly wider to give it a more snug fit in the Lynx 180B lower. Unfortunately after tumbling / blasting / etching / and anodizing the lug is slightly too thick. Basically this means each upper needs hand fitting to the lower.

    2) The bottom plate - After the 1st batch we found we needed to add more clearance to the bottom plate for certain triggers. Geissele, CMC, and other premium triggers work fine, other triggers may hit the bottom plate and require hand fitting of the bottom plate. We did modify the design to clear, however for technical reasons related to the CAM post processor this change was not pickup and the feature not machined in the 2nd run of bottom plates.

At this point we are not sure if we're going to sell these. We want your feedback. Please let us know which of the following options you'd prefer:

    1) Don't sell them.

    2) Sell them as-is with a warning that hand fitting might be required. We did include this warning with batch 1.

    3) Modify the lowers with the understanding that the modifications will not be anodized.

Please reply to this thread with your choice.

Whats a rough price for an upper that will require a bit of love to get working? Any pictures?

Price will be $250. Regular price is $300.

No pics, but you will need to sand the take down lug to fit your receiver. You might need to remove some material from the bottom plate depending on your trigger.

Why don’t you just add a rear takedown pin like the other 5 companies are doing?
