    Steyr STM556

I'm starting to see this new rifle from Steyr with the quick detach barrel on many online forums and I was wondering if you guys had any plans to bring some of them in the country? Swapping out barrels of multiple calibers and lengths looks easy as pie! Definitely something that would interest some people!

Beautiful rifle. If it shoots anything like the other Steyrs I've owned, I'd try to get one.

Ok, I really like the looks of this... and the QD barrel would make cleaning even more of a breeze...

GET THESE IN WHEN THEY ARE AVAILABLE! I'd buy one (or two!)

Wow... now even Steyr makes an AR!

An old-time firearms buddy of mine, who doesn't necessarily keep up with all the trends, was flabergasted when I told him that Remington, Smith & Wesson and Ruger all make AR's now... as do SIG Sauer and Heckler & Koch! Now even my beloved Steyr Mannlicher?

Don't get me wrong, I like AR's and own two of them... but is it the "future" that every single maker of firearms has to make 1911 pistols and AR-15 rifles? I know the American domestic market drives everything... but this is getting a bit pathetic.

Give me the old SIG, the old HK and the old Steyr any day... back when these companies went to market with their own unique designs.

At least Steyr (no doubt the U.S. partner... VLTOR is the one that is really behind this) came up with a few unique features.

I'd be great to go from short cqb barrel on one weekend (for one competition), and switch to a 20" DMR for another. Although I wish those who do have switch barrel designs like this sell longer (or shorter) handgaurds to better accommodate the barrels that they offer.
