The problem is that not too many countries switched to 5.45 and the Russian stuf is most likely blocked by some retarded embargo. If you noticed recently everything is blamed on the Russians.

From everything I am reading there is a brass deflector, it just looks smaller because the upper is wider than a normal upper. At least that’s the way I’m understanding it.

As others have answered many times, there is one. It's just not as big as the one on an AR. But from watching the video's it works very effectively.
