Probably close to 5-6000$ but don't worry I'm sure some price pimps will drive that price up even more ;-)

Would be possible if it was produced by Bushmaster like the civi ACR, but its not. Its lineage traces back to the ACR, but not the same manufacturer so Id wager 3yrs. Thats fine with me as I need some time to save for this beast anyway!

With current exchange, 4k usd is close to 5.2k cad, so with an importer and a retailer, it will be at least 6k cad.

Point. lineage traces back to Acr, but does it have to be the same manufacturer tho. Like an AR, all the Ar308 nowadays are from all kinds of manufactures and same with when the first glock mag AR9. How was it different then with ARs and now with this?

For starters, its not the AR platform, so not defacto rubber stamped restricted. That muddies the waters a lot.

We have yet to see shots of the internals, so other than general reciever shape, what do they have in common?

Fair enough. Hopefully they go thru the lab on less than a decade

Our definition of 'cheap NR' must be a bit different.

100% agree on your second point, though. This would satisfy my SCAR-H itch. Unless the SCAR-H satisfies it first, that is.

That's going to be a TOUGH sell when you compare it to the price of the BCL102

Different buyers. I wont be buying the BCL anytime soon, but I would be on this as soon as its available. Dont think either one has to worry about competing with the other.
