The red dot on top makes sense because depending on how high you set the cheek piece to be, you might not be able to see the dot if its mounted offset from the rail.
The price probably makes sense for a collector. For a shooter, the MR308A3-28 is a better rifle imo.
I prefer to worry about problems as they occur vs blind panic. These kind of guns have buyers on a global scale so even a prohibition doesn't necessarily prevent exportation to other areas of the world where a civilian is permitted to own one of these.
Bingo on the collector vs mr308a3-28
Nah you can just use the 3x for close up work. Even raised right up you need a chin weld to see that dot. Its an odd mindset they like to do with their g36 as well.
And i didn't even know about the kac m110 being sold at 23grand? Holy batman. Wonder how much the hk that replaced it would go for. Cmon haters cry some more. Let me taste those tears.
KAC is pretty out to lunch with pricing with some things. I wonder if that's the "military" cost as everyone knows that you can charge the military 3x and they'll pay it. Helps if their family has shares in the company
Why is that important? Chrome lining really?
Are you asking why chrome lining is important? Protects the barrel better against corrosion, and has good thermal resistance to breakdown under more aggressive firing schedules leading tk greater barrel life, and modern chrome lining is fairly consistant so the degradation to accuracy is minimal.
Its practicality to a gun like this is debatable. I used to have the opinion it was unnecessary. But looking into some environments the mil version of this would get deployed to the improved corrosion protection is a definite benefit.
