I now have a 583 with a trueshot on it. Sooo anxious to get it out but anyone quantify the benefits? My 582 shot cold bore sub-3moa without a stabilizer but now I have a newer rifle with one. I absolutely agree that a stabilizer is a necessity on the 180 minis but how much better is the 580 series with one?

Marginal at best. You will see some improvement. I found a Ultimak scout rail improve it as well. Polish the trigger and change the bushing to a smaller size along with 1911 buffers front and back of op rod.

i put one on my 582 series...1/2 " improvement at best.
i do believe it's a great heat sink, helps keep the barrel a bit cooler.
as mentioned, trigger polish & 1911 buffer certainly do help.
i haven't changed out the gas bushing, it still chucks brass a good 15'.

I bought a mini 30 in the late eightys . Groups opened up when it got warm and threw the odd flyer regularly hot or cold.
I put a acc strut on in and the flyer problem seems solved.
It likes the hornady steel cased sst factory ammo

I had about a 1/2 inch improvement at 100m. biggest factor in making it more accurate was ammunition I switched from 55grain to 62grain factory ammo and my 100m groups closed right up to about 2inch on avarage

Had the mini out today. It shot the white box norc ammo amazingly. 1.38" at 100, 5 shot group. I have since decided against the buffers, while I am talking about it. I understand that they sometimes get chewed up and just leave crap everywhere. Any mini haters out there, I hope and trust you can outshoot that for a $1k semi!

I am not a mini hater, I like them quite a bit, but I am a 5 round mag hater.

As for the accuracy, yours is one of the good ones for sure. I have shot groups as good as that, or even a tad better with my (just over) $1000 semi. Wyndham Weaponry AR-15.

Its got at least 5000 rounds thru it and 700 of them were steel case MFS(I didn't know any better) and probably 3500 rounds of that were Norinco(hot ammo) It doesn't shoot that accurately anymore, but its still 1.5-2MOA if I do my part with good ammo.
