went out early today and saw this guy at first light with some does.the does spooked and he ran in the oposite direction of them so I snuck in between them and waited for him to come back to his does.was about 1/2 mile back in the bush.I couldn't get my truck in so I went back to get my quad and it was not running very good died about 10 times on me.then I had a fun time loading it since I was alone like usual.he isn't huge but I got him so I can focus on helping my wife get her first deer and if we see a big one i won't be tempted to scoop it out from under her because i don't have a tag left.any how here is the pics.

Well done impala. I'm looking for one just like that right now...ok, I'll take a bigger one if I have too ;) :D I'm assuming that puppy's going on the wall.

Sounds like a good time was had despite the breakdown of the quad.

I have not decided yet if I will get him mounted.I will if the wife doesn't get one but if she gets any thing with horns we will probably mount that.I will only be sending one in this year.
 
He was like that before I shot him.I am guessing thats why he was so easy to sneak up on.

I shot him with my 300wsm.I had spent so much time trying to get him out that I skinned him before I ever thought to take pictures.
 
So is this what they mean about Trophy Hunters vs Meat Hunters? Meat hunters go for the meat regardless of size and trophy hunters just go out and rip the hid and antlers right off the living lol

I am just a hunter.I hunt for meat but I have 6 other tags for that.I enjoy the challenge of limiting my self to bucks I think are bigger.this one isn't big in my books but I am happy with it.not my biggest but still nice.its all for the meat and the fun of the outdoors in my opinion any how.a spiker would have still been a good time.

i don;'t understand 'rip the hid and antlers right off the living'.
anyways jay needed to fill his buck tag and this was the first one bigger that a spiker.
Thanks for the praises i'll pass them on to jay.
 
What? my name is not jay it is jesse connon.I saw lots of seer that wern't spikers and I didn't need to fill my buck tag because I have 6 doe tags and I already got my mule buck.I am confused
