1-4x Optics question

I am looking for a good scope with some magnification for my SR-22. I have used a couple optics with 1-4x magnification, but the problem I have is that the 1x causes some distortion, forcing me to close my offhand eye while looking through the scope. Are there any optics out there with magnification, that still have an undistorted 1x? Price has to be somewhat reasonable as well I guess.

I know I can always do an Eotech/Aimpoint + Magnifier, but I am wondering about other options.

I had a Falcon Menace 1.5-4x which worked fine. Its no Short Dot but for a beginner it should work ok. The difference between 1x mag or 1.1x to 1.5 is pretty minimal... for most users it shouldnt matter.
 
Sorry, sounds like you have very very keen eyes, the only TRUE 1 power magnification optic is the Nightforce 1-4x24. NF spent a lot of money developing that particular optic to address the issue you are having. I don't believe you will find another, not even schmidt and bender that truly have NO magnfication at 1 power. Folks are happy with Millet and bushnell 4200's series but really if your eyes are that sharp you may not be happy with either.
 
I think zero magnification with a scope consists of see through rings for most of us. I do like my 1-4x DMS thought....

1.5x wouldnt work. I want something that is a true 1x.

Holy hell! $1200 USD's! And with that... Aimpoint + magnifier I go. Thanks though.

Lots of people do love them. They arent a true 1x though.

That link pretty much answers my question. Thanks. I want that much optic for my .22 because it is my favorite rifle to shoot and I can afford to do it, so why not?
 
the NF does cost but will have better resale than the aimpoint and magnifier so will cost you less in the long run. If you can afford it, it is exactly what you are looking for.
 
US Optics SN4s. Its a true 1x as well if I recall correctly. Looks really clear on 1x. Maybe not though, have to do the test.
