so I got my LRPV today from ellwood epps which I have to say they are amazing to deal with as I paid for and ordered yesterday and the rifle showed up today so roughly 24 hours to get shipped to me from time of payment, anyway, I am now wanting to mount my Nikon monarch 6-24x50 on top of it, picked up a 1 piece weaver tactical base for it at the local shop and get home to find out that the front mounting surface of the base has a notch that hangs down that looks like it would fit nicely onto a normal model 10 or 12 action with the open top, but this is the single shot and has a completely closed top on the action.. anyone else come across this issue? and what base did you end up using?
