10+1 in a M&P9?

Hey guys.
I was wondering if anyone had issue with their M&P, fitting all 10 rounds in the mag while the firearm has one in the chamber? I was wondering it anyone else had the same issue.
My mag can only hold 9 rounds if I want to have one in the chamber making it a 9+1 instead of a 10+1.
This is a problem for me because I plan so shoot IPSC with my M&P and every round might count.

Any solutions to this would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers yall!

10+1 works. You just need to get that 10th round into the mag. When you insert a round in the chamber, release the slide before inserting the magazine or you will get a second round trying to load and jamming the action.

You need to let the mags sit full for a couple weeks. I couldn't get my 8 round 1911 mags to insert either without denting the top round, until after a couple weeks. Now they sit fine. We all love it tight though...wink.

I have 8 M&P9 mags. All of them fit 10 by hand or more easily with UpLula - more force for that last one for sure.

I've never had any handgun have a problem accepting a full magazine with the bolt closed loaded or not.

This subject has been dealt with numerous times on the forum. The newer M&P mags have a follower that sits to deep into the mag, The follower bottoms out on the compressed springs and the only solution is to file or dremel the bottom if the follower. I have several of the newer mags and had to do the dremel routine on all of them. Why S&W doesn't deal with the issue is beond me but to date they haven't.

Take Care
