This is a 2 part question. I have a 10 22 in a factory deluxe stock, GM factory taper barrel, Kidd trigger, that's about it. I'm not trying to build a bench rifle, just a rifle that will shoot consistently and reliably. Now, 1st question, what do you think is the best bedding system, is a 2nd hold down(action screw) worth it? 2nd question, I'm not a do it "yourselfer", is there anybody that you guys would recommend to do a bedding job, specifically on a 10 22? Like I said, my main interest is getting the rifle so that the point of impact changes as little as possible from session to session. Thanks in advance, JES.

ive got a dozen 10/22's and none of them are bedded and i have no problems.

you sound like you have a nice build already done, find the ammo it likes and best and shoot it.
you shouldn't need to worry about bedding or anything.

most ive ever dont for any of mine is get the Kidd threaded trigger pins (from Dlask) to solid the trigger system in nice and tight.
that costs what..... $38 and takes 2 minutes to put in.
as for 2nd hold down or read tang hold downs and bedding and pillars...... i wouldnt worry about it.
