I have had my 10/22 for about a year and its a fun rifle. I own a number of other firearms but the 10/22 is the cheapest to shoot. I am a decent shot and hit the range once a week. I have heard 10/22's are far from the most accurate gun but I think with what i'm experiencing there has to be something wrong.
My ruger always seems to shoot 3 inches to the left and 3 inches high. At first I thought I just wasn't used to it, but now with thousands of rounds through it, thats not the reason. I have had friends shoot it and they experience the same issue. I am using a factory barrel, trigger, and sights, the only non factory thing is I presently have a Tapco stock on it. I clean my gun regularly and I have tried numerous types of cartridges with the same out come.
Is this normal? Is there a way to correct this (cheaply)? Has anybody experienced something similar?
