10/22 barrels

Whats a good source for Ruger 10/22 barrels in canada? Looking for a heavy barrel in and around 14" long.

Yeah not looking to drop 500$ for a plinker barrel. Thats real AR money there. LOL.......

Has anyone ever run a 12.5" bull barrel into a magpul stock? Any issues with fit etc?

Bitsofpieces.com in BC has Green Mountain barrels. I got a 28" Green Mountain for my 10/22 ...nice and quiet. They also have short heavies.

Has anyone ever run a 12.5" bull barrel into a magpul stock? Any issues with fit etc?

I have a 9” TacHammer (.920”) in the Magpul Backpacker stock, I would assume the X-22 would fit the same barrel diameter.

Also, Wanstalls has the TacHammers for around $300, great barrels. Some on the EE too.

Ill take a look. Thanks man. As for the barrel, I was more or so wondering if the length of a 12.5 barrel would fit (and look good for that matter) in a standard magpul x22 stock. I do know the diameter is definately GTG.....just concerned about length as I cant find much info about that.

Dlask barrels are top notch. I prefer the sporter chamber myself. Still stupid accurate. Will fit the Magpul stock just fine.

I can't say for sure but many websites list the X-22 as requiring a minimum 12.5" barrel. If I were home I could measure for you as I have a 16.5" in mine.

Ideally i wanted to go with 14.5 but that seems to be like chasing a unicorn. At this point I think im leaning towards a 16.5 barrel. They look pretty good in the magpul chassis and overall it would prob be a more universal barrel size as it can still deliver good accuracy.

14.5” would be cool. I’m very happy with my 16.5” setup. It balances nicely, although I am running a lightweight carbon fiber barrel.

I think im gonna go with a 16.5 Kidd Ultra lightweight barrel. I think it will balance the magpul stock nicely

Ordered the Kidd 16.5 Ultralight barrel. Black with threaded muzzle. Looking forward to this build now.

DLASK....it was only about 30$ more than the DLASK branded barrel I was gonna order. Figured for the minimal price difference, Kidd was the obvious choice

Enjoy your new barrel sir. Mine is a 20 inch threaded match barrel.
Next time I'm gonig with a 16.5 fluted/ threaded model.
