10/22 Best Accessories

I am about to be the proud owner of a 10/22 Takedown, my first gun. Beyond a sling what are some accessories (with brands if you have more specific recommendations) that I should look at buying. I plan to use this rifle for small game and plinking. Likely I will be taking it back packing as well.

Magazines and ammo for sure. Something to clean the barrel and action.

For tacticool stuff, just get what you'd like. There are some really nice (looking... never used them) chassis for the 10/22. Some of them are all-in-one, some will need a stock/grip

I leave mine as is. It's kind of a second safety as a newbie can't chamber a round easily with it.

The Magpul backpacker stock looks fugly but man this thing is great. It has storage and ergonomics are really great.

To aid in accuracy get Volquartsen trigger kit. Easy to install, while your at it get an extended mag release and spare mags. Shoot, clean and repeat.

Auto bolt release ($0-$30) and BX trigger ($100-$130) are really low hanging fruit. An aftermarket extractor ($20) if you are having any issues at all. Magpul MOE X-22 is $90 and also a nice improvement over stock.
